Emily Benight, raised in Wyoming and proud of it. Emily graduated from the University of Wyoming with her B.S. in Finance, Real Estate focus, and minor in International Business. She then went on to obtain her J.D. and master’s in public administration in 2013 from the University of Wyoming. In law school she was the director of the Prosecution Clinic and had the rare opportunity to argue (and win) in front of the Wyoming Supreme Court. Emily is admitted to practice law in Colorado (state and federal courts), Wyoming (state and federal courts), Nebraska (state courts), Oregon (state courts), and Washington (state courts).
Emily is an active member in multiple trial lawyers’ associations, including Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association, Washington State Association for Justice, American Association for Justice, Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, and The Trial Lawyer’s College. Emily graduated from the Trial Lawyer’s College in July 2017, her peers elected her to be on the F-Warrior Board (alumni association of the Trial Lawyer’s College) as class representative. Since 2019, Emily has held the following leadership positions on the F-Warrior Board, including president-elect from 2019 to 2021, and is currently presiding President of the F-Warrior Board (2021 to 2023).
Emily has been recognized by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys in 2017 (10 Best Attorneys – Colorado) and in 2020 (10 Best Female Attorneys- Colorado), National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys in 2017 (Nationally Ranked – Top 10 under 40) and 2018 (Nationally Ranked- Top 10 under 40), The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Plaintiff in 2022 and 2023, and Lawyers of Distinction in Personal Injury Law in 2023.
Emily’s practice focuses on giving a voice to those seriously injured in motor vehicle crashes, motorcycle crashes (carries MC endorsement), and trucking crashes. When away from the office, Emily enjoys the beautiful Colorado weather and spending time with her family.
