Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Matthew E. Bennett made Colorado his home during high school and has remained a proud Coloradan ever since. He attended the University of Colorado in Boulder and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Economics. Following graduation, Matthew worked for multiple healthcare organizations, most notably as an analyst and ambulatory physician trainer for Centura Health.
Pursuing a lifelong dream to practice law, Matthew attended the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law. During law school, he proudly served on the Denver Law Review, and was elected by his peers to manage the journal’s online supplement and to serve on the journal’s Management Committee, a four-position board that collaboratively oversees all operations of the journal. Matthew also worked as a summer law clerk for the Civil Litigation and Employment Section of the Colorado Attorney General’s Office and the Colorado Department of Law. It was during this time that he developed a passion for trial work and civil procedure. He attained his Juris Doctor in May of 2018, having earned multiple merit-based scholarships and numerous Scholastic Excellence Awards for highest achievement along the way.
Matthew is admitted to practice in Colorado and is an active member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, playing with his dog, exercising, reading, playing sports (particularly basketball), watching sports (particularly Colorado Buffaloes and Florida Gators football), and traveling.
