Joseph Oaks was born in Pensacola, Florida as the fifth of seven children. When Joseph was 15 years old, his family relocated to Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Oaks has been admitted to practice law in all state and federal courts of Alabama. Since relocating, he’s been licensed to practice in Colorado in 2019. He also has been admitted to practice law in the Colorado Federal Court.
Mr. Oaks attended the University of Alabama graduating with a B.A. in Journalism in 2010. After completing the undergraduate program, Mr. Oaks attended the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Oaks returned to the Gulf Coast and worked as an associate attorney for a personal injury firm in Mobile, Alabama. He garnered experience and worked cases for four plus years representing injured parties against negligent, wanton tortfeasors and insurance companies.
In January of 2019, Mr. Oaks moved to Denver to join the Franklin D. Azar & Associates, P.C. personal injury team. Since making the transition, Joseph and his wife, Maddy, have been able to enjoy all the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer. He also likes to read, play recreational sports and travel.
