Erica A. Vecchio is an associate with Franklin D. Azar & Associates, where she has practiced law since 2007. Her practice is focused primarily on personal injury litigation. Prior to joining FDA, Ms. Vecchio worked as a trial lawyer with the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender litigating misdemeanor, juvenile and felony cases. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University-Pueblo, graduating with honors, Summa Cum Laude. Ms. Vecchio attended the University of Wyoming College of Law where she graduated Order of the Barristers, with honors. While in law school, Ms. Vecchio was the winner of Client Counseling, Moot Court and Student Trial Advocacy competitions and represented the University of Wyoming in five regional competitions. Ms. Vecchio was also named UW’s Civil Clinic’s Outstanding Student Attorney for 2004-2005.
Ms. Vecchio a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and is a past President of the Pueblo County Bar Association. She was named Pueblo County’s Outstanding Young Lawyer in 2009 and received the PCBA’s Outstanding Pro Bono award in 2013.
Ms. Vecchio was born and raised in Southern Colorado and is married to Brian Ziolkowski, a Sergeant with the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office. Ms. Vecchio and her husband have one daughter, Inez Grace.
