Jury Awards $7.8 million in Johnson & Johnson Ethicon Verdict

Linda Gross, a former nurse in South Dakota, was awarded $3.35 million in February in a lawsuit brought against Johnson & Johnson's Ethicon Inc. Johnson & Johnson Ethicon Inc. is the manufacturer of a Transvaginal Mesh Implant that is said to have a faulty design. Jury Awards $8.3 million in Johnson and Johnson Dupuy Verdict

In February of 2013 a Jury awarded $8.3 million in compensatory damages to a plaintiff residing in Montana. The plaintiff received an ASR™ XL hip replacement that caused injuries due to a design defect in the replacement hip. The ASR™ hip replacement, manufactured by Johnson & Johnson's DePuy, are claimed to have a defect that can cause dislocations and chronic pain, among other injuries. Throwing Out Wrongful Death Claims in Theater Shooting

U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael Hegarty said claims of Wrongful Death and Negligence, in the Aurora Century 16 theater should not be considered, and thrown out. Hegarty claims that laws in Colorado disallow victims, and their families, from filing such claims. James Holmes, suspected of the shooting, is currently in prison. Holmes, has been charged with 24 counts of first-degree murder. 12 people were killed in the shooting spree, and two counts of murder are being brought against Holmes for each victim. 20th Annual Franklin Azar Tournament

Every year, for the past 20 years, Frank Azar hosts The Franklin Azar Gold Tournament in Trinidad, Colorado. In 2012, for the first time, the tournament had two champions sharing the title. Travis Coberly and Tom Shultz shared in the title, in the Stableford format tourney. Jeff Frasheur took third place with a +15, just missing the co-champion spot by a single point.
