“Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.” — Benjamin Franklin
Suzanne L. Childress is a passionate attorney dedicated to helping those who have been injured as a result of another’s negligence. Prior to joining Frank Azar and Associates, Ms. Childress practiced in northern Mississippi where she opened and oversaw a satellite office for a large regional plaintiff law firm based out of Memphis, Tennessee. While at the firm, she dedicated several years to successfully representing injured plaintiffs. While she has experience in premises liability and medical malpractice, her practice has historically focused on trucking and motor vehicle accidents. The transition to Colorado was precipitated by her interest in bad faith insurance litigation and Colorado law’s intolerance for insurance company misconduct involving unreasonable denial or delay in the payment of claims.
Ms. Childress earned her B.S.B.A. in Marketing and Management from the University of Southern Mississippi. After graduation, she worked as a sales professional in the pharmaceutical industry and thereafter, decided to pursue her law degree. While attending law school at the University of Mississippi, Ms. Childress received the American Jurisprudence Award for academic excellence in Pre-Trial Practice and was chosen to serve as a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council. While a law student, she also participated in the Elder Law Clinic where she assisted elderly citizens in the community with estate planning matters.
Ms. Childress is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association and is admitted to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Mississippi; U.S District Court, Southern District of Mississippi and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She is currently awaiting admission to the state and federal courts of Colorado; however, her practice has been temporarily authorized under C.R.C.P. 205.6. Ms. Childress is originally from Ridgeland, Mississippi, and currently resides in Denver. In her spare time she enjoys running, yoga, exploring the beautiful state of Colorado and spending time with her family and friends.
