“I enjoy holding insurance companies accountable for the contracts they underwrite.”
Kristopher Miller was raised in Colorado Springs and is tremendously proud of his home. He is licensed to practice law in Colorado State and Federal Courts. In 2004, Kris completed his undergraduate education at Lynchburg College in Virginia. Mr. Miller is one of the few who was able to complete law school in less than three years, graduating from McGeorge School of Law in the Winter of 2008. After graduation, he was happy to move back home to Colorado where he became licensed to practice in 2009 and make a difference.
Mr. Miller started his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney first in the 21st Judicial District and later in the 4th Judicial District. As a Deputy DA, his work included being a trial attorney, liaison, and supervisor for all misdemeanor and traffic crimes in El Paso and Teller Counties. As a trial attorney, he completed over 60 jury trials. As a liaison, he collaborated with judges and the state public defender’s office on matters of court policy and procedure. As a supervisor, he first and second chaired dozens of jury trials with new attorneys.
Mr. Miller went on to open his own law firm in 2012 where he practiced in the areas of personal injury, criminal defense and domestic relations. Leaping at the opportunity to exclusively represent the injured, he closed his practice in 2017 to join Franklin D. Azar & Associates, P.C. as a personal injury attorney. By the time he joined Frank Azar & Associates, he had completed an aggregate of over 100 bench and jury trials.
Kris is impassioned by the pursuit of holding insurance companies responsible for the contracts they underwrite and has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyer since 2016. He is married with three children and enjoys being a husband and a father. When he has time, Kris really appreciates watching soccer and boxing matches as a fan of both sports.
